RADIESSE injections at our Rocky Mount, NC, practice provide both immediate and sustained improvement in the appearance of nasolabial folds and other lines due to their collagen-stimulating properties. The FDA-approved filler is an excellent choice for women and men looking for a long-lasting, nonsurgical solution to age-related lines and wrinkles.
What Is RADIESSE?
Unlike most fillers, such as the JUVÉDERM® line of products, RADIESSE is not a hyaluronic acid-based filler. Instead, RADIESSE relies on calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Immediately after injection, you’ll notice an improvement in the appearance of the targeted areas. Over the next several months, the CaHA stimulates collagen production, creating smoother, tighter skin. The body gradually absorbs the product, but the collagen remains. Some, but not most, patients have results that last up to a year.

What Are the Benefits of RADIESSE Treatments?
RADIESSE injections improve the appearance of the following concerns:
- Corners of the mouth: Also known as the oral commissures, these can turn downwards as we age, accentuating nearby wrinkles.
- Marionette lines: These lines extend downwards from the corners of the mouth, creating a sad or grumpy appearance.
- Horizontal chin wrinkles: Persistent wrinkles located beneath the lower lip that may distract from our smiles.
- Smile lines: Commonly known as nasolabial folds, these are the “parentheses” that appear when we grin.
- Pre-jowl: The hollow areas on either side of the chin that contribute to the development of jowls.
Combine RADIESSE with other treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic and JUVÉDERM® fillers for a more impressive transformation. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Frederick K. Park creates a personalized plan that addresses your concerns effectively.
Dr. Park’s Approach:
Fillers are wonderful adjuncts to the surgical procedures I perform. We’re continually seeing new, more specialized fillers brought to the market, although some don’t appear to live up to their hype. Most do, and they are safe and effective ways to improve the appearance of different areas of the face.
In addition to RADIESSE®, I use various JUVÉDERM® fillers. We determine the best filler for each patient, depending on the treatment area or areas. In some cases, we use a filler that’s injected just below the skin’s surface. Other circumstances call for a filler that’s injected deeper. Longevity is always a concern.
For people with nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lip creases, cheek lines, hollowed hands, and other areas which could use volume, a RADIESSE is an excellent option to improve the areas without surgery.
How Much Does RADIESSE Cost in Rocky Mount, NC?
The cost of RADIESSE treatments in Greenville, Rocky Mount, and surrounding areas depends on the treatment areas and the amount injected. When you visit us for a consultation, Dr. Park will discuss how much product you’ll need to achieve your desired result.
It’s easy for qualified patients to finance their procedures through CareCredit®, which offers attractive payment plans for women and men choosing elective cosmetic surgery or nonsurgical treatments.Learn More
What Happens During a RADIESSE Treatment?
Like other fillers, RADIESSE is pre-mixed with a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort during injections. Dr. Park may still apply a topical anesthetic to ensure you remain comfortable throughout the treatment. RADIESSE procedures can take 15 to 30 minutes, depending on how many injections you need. You return home or work immediately after the treatment, although some redness and swelling may occur.
